As the Owner and Financial Advisor at West Oak Wealth, I have a strong background in the areas of financial planning, investments, and tax strategies, and I am dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals. Prior to establishing West Oak Wealth, I gained valuable experience working at RTC Resources, LLP. This experience allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the financial industry and the intricacies involved in managing wealth.
My academic journey began at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where I studied Math Education, and then I progressed to Oklahoma University, where I got a Masters in Mathematics. In 2023, I obtained a master's degree in wealth management from Columbia University, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive financial advice. Currently, I am in the process of obtaining the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, further enhancing my expertise in the field.
What motivates me most is the belief that I can positively impact my clients' lives today and in the future. I am driven to help and educate people, enabling them to make informed financial decisions that will benefit not only themselves but also future generations. When it comes to my job, I derive immense satisfaction from helping my clients solve their financial puzzles. I firmly believe that the greatest value I can provide for my clients is empowering them to take control of their financial picture. By creating a solid plan tailored to their unique circumstances and acting as their guide throughout their financial journey, I strive to make a lasting difference in their lives.
Outside of my professional life, I am a lifelong resident of Western Oklahoma, currently residing in Weatherford with my wife and high school sweetheart. Together, we have been blessed with three adult children and four grandchildren. In addition to my family, I am actively involved in my community. I proudly serve as an elder and a teacher at the Weatherford Church of Christ, where I am able to contribute to the spiritual growth of others. During my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, exploring national parks, and being an avid reader of finance books and an avid listener of finance podcasts, as I continuously strive to expand my knowledge and stay updated with the latest industry trends.
